The club features the iconic copper/bronze oversized cavity insert on the back of the head, giving it a distinctive look that was ahead of its time. The stainless steel construction surrounds the large copper-toned polymer insert, which was designed to help dampen vibration and improve feel at impact. This 9 iron is fitted with the TaylorMade Bubble Shaft in graphite, which features the recognizable copper-colored bubble section near the grip end — a hallmark of TaylorMade's shaft technology from this era.
